Can now import / export all preferences, making it easier to share settings between computers. Print (to printer) now scales correctly. Support for multiple Ruida controllers when using Packet/USB mode. Rewrote serial library used for Ruida communication - now significantly faster, and more robust. Measure tool now includes selected shape width / height, and does a better job of identifying arcs. Export to SVG will now retain image masks. Automatic view panning while dragging shapes. You can now click anywhere inside a filled shape to select it. If you normally use LightBurn in 'Filled rendering' mode, life just got a little bit easier. Press Ctrl+2 to start the tool, and follow the prompts at the bottom of the screen. Designed to let you align one shape to another, like trying to align text to a slanted edge. Lets you pick a rotation point on a shape, and rotate / scale it freely around that point. The new Boolean Assistant lets you preview the different Boolean options, then pick the one that works. Boolean AssistantĮver have trouble remembering which Boolean option is the right one? You're not alone. You can find it in Tools > Print and Cut. We also have a new video up, showing how to salvage a job without markers in it, using the Print and Cut feature. The new Print and Cut wizard walks you through it, making the whole process simpler. Print and Cut is great, but it hasn't been very easy to use. With this in place, we'll be working on adding support for these virtual arrays on DSP controllers. The array properties and content can be changed, and the array updates automatically: This board does not offer control of power through software - we recommend upgrading the board to take full advantage of LightBurn. If you create a grid array, you now have the option to make it virtual, meaning that the copies are generated on the fly. Please note that LightBurn does not support the stock M2-Nano board in the popular K40 laser.
If it doesn't work, sometimes it only takes a day or two to make the required changes to support a new board in these existing families. If your controller is GCode, Ruida, Trocen, or TopWisdom based, even if it's not listed it might be supported already - Download the free trial and try it for yourself. More controllers will be added soon, so if you don't see yours listed, send us a message - maybe we're already working on it!
Supported Trocen controllers include the AWC708C, AWC608, and TL-3120. Supported Ruida controllers include the RDC6442G/S, RDC6445G, RDC6332G, RDLC-320A, and R5-DSP. Supported GCode controllers, include Grbl, Smoothieware, Grbl-LPC, and Marlin. We currently support most Ruida, Trocen, TopWisdom, and GCode based controllers. LightBurn talks directly to your laser, without the use of additional software.
